The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Turzai has issued a writ of election for the 174th, 191st, and 195th Legislative Districts. The elections will be held on August 11, 2015. The polls will be open from 7:00am to 8:00pm.

174th Legislative District: Wards 56 (Divisions 2, 5, 6, 10-12, 16-31, 35-39, and 41), 57 (Divisions 1-12, 15-28), 58 (Divisions 11 and 28), and 66 (Divisions 19, 21, 25-28, and 46)

191st Legislative District: Wards 3, 40 (Divisions 2-14, 19-21, 23-26, 33, 34, and 47), 51 (Divisions 1, 23, 25, and 27), and 60 (Divisions 7, 19, and 22) *This district also includes parts of Delaware County

195th Legislative District: Wards 15, 24 (Divisions 1-5, 9-15, 18, and 19), 28, 29, and 32 (Divisions 1-4, 10, and 13-31)


Wednesday, August 5th, 2015 at 11:00AM in Room 387, City Hall there will be a sunshine meeting due to the Special Election being held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 for the 174th, 191st, 195th State Legislative Districts, by the call of the Chair.

First day for political parties to nominate candidates by filing nomination certificates: June 11, 2015

First day for political bodies to circulate and file nomination papers nominating independent candidates: June 11, 2015

Last day to file nomination certificates and nomination papers: June 22, 2015

Last day to file objections: 3 days after deadline for filing: June 25, 2015

Last day for Commonwealth Court to set a hearing on objections: 7 days after deadline for filing: June 29, 2015

Last day to withdraw: 7 days after the deadline for filing: June 29, 2015

Last day to file substituted nomination certificates: 7 days after the deadline for filing: June 29, 2015
